| Lynn & Gene's After-Labor-Day Vacation IMG_7695 - F/3.5, 1/25th, ISO 100, 18mm 15 September 2005, 4:17 PM Most of Thursday was gray and rainy, so in the afternoon we took a ride over to the Katahdin Iron Works, about 10 miles northwest along a dirt (and that day because of the rain, mud) road. The Katahdin Iron Works are remnants of an old iron ore blast furnace and charcoal kilns that date back to the 1840's. This is a view up the main blast furnace chimney... |
