Litchfield Sr. of Hampton, N.H., a fire inspector for the Hampton Fire Department, died Sunday at Exeter Hospital in Exeter, N.H. He was 46.Born in Lowell, he was a former resident of Plymouth, N.H., and Dracut, Mass., where he attended the city's schools. Mr. Litchfield was a resident of Hampton for 12 years. He was a 1965 graduate of Cushing Academy in Ashburnham and later attended Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, Calif.Mr. Litchfield worked for the Hampton Fire Department in 1981 and had held the position of inspector since 1987.He was a member of the New Hampshire Association of Fire Chiefs, the New Hampshire Fire Prevention Society and the International Association of Arson Investigators.Mr. Litchfield was an avid sailor and member of Pepperell Cove Yacht Club in Kittery, Maine, and the Hampton River Boat Club.He is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Wiswall); a daughter, Katherine B.; a son, Bryan J. Jr. of Plymouth, N.H.; his mother, Marion E. (Bryant) Udell of York Beach, Maine and Englewood, Fla.; a brother, Alan E. of Englewood, Fla.; a sister, Nancy A. Ely of Glendora, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Remick and Gendron Funeral Home, Hampton.Burial will be in High Street Cemetery, Hampton.
