- Cause of Death: Chronic valvular disease of the heart«s8»
|
Note |
- Middle initial (and therefore middle name) is inconsistent across documents. Paul's own DC lists him as Paul Albert. The following documents concur (middle initial A):
wife Isabelle's DC
son Paul's MC
son Harry's MC #1
son Lucien's MC #1
son Lucien's MC #2
daughter Matilda's MC
daughter Isabelle's MC
son Lucien's DC
The following documents do not concur:
son Harry's MC #2 (R)
son Marcel's MC (G)
son Marcel's DC (R)
Another cause of confusion is the way his son (also Paul) signed his name as witness to his brother Lucien's marriage: Paul R VOGT Jr., which suggests his father was Paul R. VOGT Sr., but perhaps he wanted to be a Jr. even though their middle names were not the same, so he adopted the Jr. postfix even though he should not have.
|
Note |
- BIRTHDATE DISCREPANCY: Discrepancy between birthdate on Naturalization card (10 Jan 1842 [SRC 79]) and death certificate (10 May 1846 [SRC 8]). Naturalization card is likely to be more accurate. Census info from 1880 [SRC 53] concurs with the 1842 date (age listed as 38). Census info from 1900 [SRC 45] concurs with the 1846 date (month and year of birth listed as May 1846, but age listed as 64 instead of 54).
|
Note |
- Paul established VOGT & Sons Ornamental Plastering company. VOGT and Sons made mannequins for stores; very lifelike in mold and color. Also made the horses for Hurley's Hippodrome on Revere Beach.
|
Note |
- Originally lived on the Everett side of Grover Street opposite Marcel's house with the stone lions in front of the house.
|
Note |
- Possibly had a sister Mathilde, with daughters Marcella and Isabelle.
