- Jack lived in a small house on the main Ballyheigue street across from the meat store and Agnes' pub in an area called The Village. He was truly a "jack of all trades." He would do all kinds of odd jobs around the town and the farms, For example, he would castrate the animals. He used to joke that he would take out his penknife and do the job. He was single. His house used to be called 10 Downing Street Few people were allowed in. It was dirty. Doll would go in to clean from time to time. Only men went in. Jack enjoyed a drink from time to time, and he usually went across the street to the pub. He would go down to Doll's house for a meal.
He died in the Tralee hospital.
He could play the fiddle well, and he played at wakes and weddings. His mother taught him to play.
