- Eugene F. Vogt is in possession of a copy of a letter sent to Joanne Gonsalves by Sr. Cecilia on 14 Aug 2004. Salient genealogy points are included below:
"The third man in the picture with Uncle Jerry and Uncle John is Uncle Christy. I think it must have been taken in Baltovin. Unfortunately, I do not recognise the girl in the picture taken at Coláiste íde, neither does Bert Carroll who is the only person with whom I have discussed it. She is definitely not my sister, Hanna.
"Cecilia (BEHAN) was only 12 years and James 8 when the picture was taken. Cecilia was born on February 11th, 1945 and James was born on April 24th, 1949. Hanna’s birthday is 12th December 1919, she and I have the same birthday, she was two years younger than me.
"My dear Mother who was left a widow at the age of 36. My brother who was only 7 months old when my Father died of Cancer at the age of 39
"In 1944 Hanna married Jeremiah Behan
"Their daughter, Cecilia ... After some years (1972) she married Nicholas O’Laughlin, a Dublin man. They have three children, Ciara, 31, has a degree in Marketing and works with the Bank of Ireland, Diarmuid (28) did Hotel & Catering, but left Hotel for Work, he is bar manager in a Sports Club, Nessa (21) is in University College Dublin, she is studying Psychology.
"James Behan is unmarried and runs the farm in Baltovin. My beloved Hanna died of Cancer in 1986 at the age of 66 and her husband Jeremiah died also of cancer in 1988."
