Notes |
- Just for the heck of it, I jumped over to Ancestry.com and did a search for JAMES NEVILLE in MA. There was a hit on the 1930 census:
Ward 8, Block 7
Boston, Suffolk, MA
ED 13-614, Sheet 4A, Lines 20-23
April 11, 1930
2 Forrest Place, Ward 8, Block 7, Boston, Suffolk, MA, USA
NEVILLE, Patrick, head of household, owns home, married white male, age 54, age at first marriage: 24, Born in Ireland (as was father and mother), immigrated in 1926, occupation: none
NEVILLE, Margaret, wife, married white female, age 54, age at first marriage: 24, Born in Ireland (as was father and mother), immigrated in 1926, occupation: none
NEVILLE, James, son, married white male, age 27, age at first marriage: 26, Born in Ireland (as was father and mother), immigrated in 1922, occupation: Lineman Construction
NEVILLE, Anna, daughter (in law, I think it says), age 28, age at first marriage: 27, Born in Ireland (as was father and mother), immigrated in 1925, occupation: none
and then six lodgers living with them.
Extrapolating from that info, that puts Patrick's and Margaret's birth date circa 1876, and their marriage date circa 1900. It also means that they might've died in Boston, so there may be death certificates. Next time I'm in at the NEHGS library I'll search the indexes.
