- Joanne GONSALVES obtained a copy of the microfilmed record of the Death Certificate for Julius VOGT (#0636) from the LDS Family History Library in Salt Lake City Utah, 3 October 1994. Received by Eugene Vogt on 12 Oct 1994.
Subsequently, Eugene F. VOGT obtained a certified copy of the same Death Certificate from the New York City Archives.
Date of death is listed as 1 December 1880, with an age of 66 years, 7 months, 23 days, which puts the date of birth at 7 April 1814, by my calculations.
Julius' address at the time of his death is listed as: Madison Ave. and 173rd St., SE Corner E 4th Ward. According to my Delorme Street Atlas of the United States on CD-ROM (V2.0, 1993), Madison Ave and 173rd don't seem to cross, but Madison Ave and 73rd does, near Central Park. It is possible that they did cross in 1880 but do not now.
