Dear Gene,
I am a distant relative of yours! My name is Aileen SMYTH and I am a neice of Sr. Cecelia with whom you correspond. I know your daughters are interested in musicso I'm writing to let you know about my daughter Muireann.
She is 20 years old and is in her third year of a four year degree course in Music Performance (clarinet). She is a member of the European Wind Orchestra and of the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland. And that brings me to my reason for writing to you!
The N.Y.O.I. is going on tour to the USA and will be doing a concert in the Hatch Shell, Esplanade in Boston on Wednesday the 5th of August at 7:30pm. It would be lovely if your family could go to support the concert and if not perhaps you could advertise it a bit and tell your friends! If you can attend, Muireann would love to say hello after the concert.
I enjoyed reading your Christmas letter - Sr. Cecelia always passes them on to me!
I will send you a CD of the NYOI soon, separately, and I'd love your daughter's choir CD
