On a visit to the Massachusetts State Archives (State Archives, 220 Morrissey Boulevard, Boston, MA 02125, [617] 727-2816) on 8 August 1997, Eugene F. VOGT obtained a copy from the Marriage Register book for the city of Boston for the year 1869, listing the marriage of William H. MUNROE to Mary PEARSALL on 21 October 1869 in Boston MA. William is listed as a resident of Melrose, age 29, occupation Upholsterer, born in Boston to Henry Jr. and Sarah MUNROE. Mary is listed as a resident of Boston, age 23, occupation (none), born in England to Thomas and Emma PEARSALL. It was the second marriage for Willian, first for Mary.
