      Gene,

I recently visited Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford to visit my grandparent's grave. August 3 would have been my grandmother's 88th birthday.

While there, I found the grave of her cousin Michael Leo Buttimer and his wife Gertrude.

      From the headstone:

      BUTTIMER
      Michael Leo Gertrude M
      1900-1978 1903-1934

From Michael Leo's obit, Boston Globe March 22-1978: "BUTTIMER, in soldier's home, Chelsea, March 21, Michael Leo Buttimer, husband of late Gertrude Altimas, brother of J. Frank of Malden"

From Mass vital records in Boston
      MARRIAGE
      in Newton, September 26, 1931
Michael Leo Buttimer, 31 b. Charlestown, father Denis J. Buttimer, mother Mary McGrath
Gertrude Mary Altimas, 28, b Cambridge, father Thomas Altimas, mother Elizabeth A. Campbell
at: Church of Our Lady, Russell T. Hadley, Priest

I received a response from Laura Lordan "formerly" of California (she has since moved to Hoboken, NJ.) She sent me some family group sheets for the families of the two Lordans that married the two Buttimer sisters. Her letter included an email address, and I've emailed her to see if she's interested in a tree exchange like the one we conducted. I'll let you know what I discover.

      Jim
