Loving husband of 49 years to Ruth (Foley) Lombard. Proud father of Theresa and Cris Zenobio, Kathleen and Jeffrey Egger, Elizabeth and Scott Goodwin. Adoring grandfather to TJ and Kate Zenobio, John and Maeve Egger, Danny and Bobby Goodwin. Brother to Kenneth Lombard and wife, Pauli, of Falmouth, Christine Atwood and husband, Richard of No. Easton, and John Lombard of Randolph. Uncle, cousin and friend to many. Retired English teacher, guidance counselor, coach and athletic director from King Philip Regional School District and Cape Cod Vocational Technical High School. Former President and Executive Secretary /Treasurer of Massachusetts Baseball Coaches Association. Member of Massachusetts Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame and King Philip High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Also member of Dennis Golf League and Retired Men's Club of Cape Cod. Enjoyed golfing, boating and the beaches on Cape Cod as well as watching the Red Sox. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 4-8pm at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Route 134 in South Dennis, MA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Friday, December 16, 2016 at St. Pius X Church, 5 Barbara Street in South Yarmouth, MA. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Gary Lombard may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Research for Multiple Myeloma, P.O. Box 849168, Boston MA 02284.
